Hi folks,
Ideally I’d love something where OpenRTB connections and custom APIs don’t feel like rocket science. Do you actually build for flexible integrations from day one, or is that something you only worry about once the volumes are big?

In our case we didn’t think about it early and paid for it later. Once we started bringing in more demand sources, juggling different endpoints and deal setups became a mess. We ended up talking to a few SSP companies and product teams that build more tailored solutions. One of the options on our radar was https://geomotiv.com/industries/adtech/ssp/ , because they approach it as a full SSP stack with room for OpenRTB flows and custom API hooks, not just a single plug-and-play integration. It’s still proper development work, but at least the architecture is designed with multiple partners and evolving connections in mind.

From the outside it’s always interesting to see how teams prioritize what they automate and what they’re okay doing manually for a long time. Some folks are perfectly fine living with spreadsheets, exports and small workarounds, while others prefer to invest early into cleaner systems and processes. Both paths can work, but the moment a project starts growing faster than expected, all those “we’ll fix it later” decisions suddenly show up at once and you have to decide where to put your energy first.
